ProSafe™ FVS318v1 VPN Firewall/Router:
8 tunnel VPN

Pros:

  • Plenty of capacity: 8 - 10/100MB ports
  • Excellent user interface
  • Rock Solid
Cons:
  • P2P VPN to other FVS318 is very slow using DES encryption
  • Security high, sometimes blocks "allowed" traffic
  • Slow WAN port - 10MB

ProSafe™ FVS338v1 VPN Firewall/Router:
50 tunnel VPN

Pros:

  • Upgraded WAN Port - 10/100MB
  • Built-in serial port for external modem
  • HTTPS remote management interface
  • Very detailed logging capabilities
Cons:
  • No Gigabit functionality

ProSafe™ FVX538v2 VPN Firewall/Router:
200 tunnel VPN

Pros:

  • Gigabit LAN Port
  • Dual WAN Ports for Load Balancing
  • Comes with a 5-client ProSafe License
  • Can monitor boot process via console port
Cons:
  • Only one Gigabit port
  • DMZ is difficult to get working
  • No Gigabit "Internet" port
